Inventory

If you plan to keep products on hand, you should make use of the Inventory Page. On this page you can edit the quantities, back order status, and whether the product is active or not. If you do not keep any inventory and all your products are drop shipped, then Stock status can be disabled in the catalog.

There are 7 columns for each product entry:

Subcategory - The subcategory to which the product belongs too.

Product - The product name.

Quantity Available - The amount on hand of this product.

Quantity Reserved - The amount being reserved for whatever reason, such as previous customer commitment.

On Back Order - Indicates if the product has been placed on back order.

Product Active - This will enable (Y) or disable (N) the visibility of the product in your catalog. It begins as disabled by default. Once you are done inserting a new product and are satisfied that the data such as price is correct, then enable it by setting it to "Y". This feature is designed to avoid having your customers seeing a work in progress. This feature is also available in the Products Page.

Check to Update - This allows you to select which products will be updated with the changes you have just made. This makes it easier to update a few products at one time.

To update only certain products, click on the checkbox of the products you wish to update. To update all the products on the display, click on the "Select All" checkbox at the bottom right hand corner of the page. Then click on the update button.
