Towards the end of 1998, there was a push for small businesses to explore and use the internet as a means to increase their sales by marketing and selling their products online. Many businesses with e-commerce expertise were on the scene to take advantage of that push. Unfortunately, the expertise they offered came at a price too high for most first time small business owners to take a chance in the online world of e-commerce.

In early 2000, I-TECH Web Designs which got its start doing web design projects for non-profit organizations, began looking into making e-commerce more affordable for first time business owners. We utilized Open-Source technology and experience to deliver the services and support that our targeted clients could comfortably invest in.
